The coats of arms can be made in all sorts of combinations and designs – here is a display of the historical coat of arms of the Eršek – Talan family, from Austro – Hungarian empire. It was granted in the 17th century. My client’s family originates from Croatia (which was a part of the empire at that time). So, He asked me to write the family name in famous historical Croatian Glagolitic script, from the 9th century.
We also, added the famous Croatian braiding pattern in this design. When we agreed upon all the elements and shapes, I painted this with pure Joy.
The combination of calligraphy, heraldry and symbols is so amazing, don’t You think?
