Heraldry still lives around us! It is easy to feel great pride and love around one’s heart, when one sees the coat of arms of one’s country, especially if they live far away from homeland, as my client does. She made this amazing custom order for Her beloved husband, who originates from Croatia, from the City of Rijeka, and lives in the USA. The custom request was to make something that reminds of Home, with recognizable national elements, as well as the symbols of the City of Rijeka and the Sea water, somehow combined.
I chose the official coat of arms of the City of Rijeka. And, for the second I chose the coat of arms of the Primorsko-goranska county, that Rijeka is the capital of, that ideally contains all the wanted elements of my customer, for it has the Sea, and the City (probably Rijeka) on it. These two gems are surrounded by the Croatian braiding ornament, and entwined with the colors of the flag of the City of Rijeka. Their family name is written in, the famous historical Croatian Glagolitic script, in use from the 9th till almost 16th century (besides Latin scripts).
The price may vary if there are more personalized details than on the example, which includes additional design and production time. The final price also depends on where I send your gift.
